OSAP is a non profit organisation who aim to help promote opensource software. We will provide a support ticket service to anyone who requires information regarding how to deploy opensource solutions and what products are available and if there is a solution suites their needs. We will also supply information about local or international companies who provide support services for these products. Our primary aim is to help other non profit organisations/charities reduce their running costs by helping them choose the right opensource products. We will also show you how to put back into the community and help improve and grow the software available.
Objectives
1. Provide unbiased information to aid companies, government departments, organisations and charities to deploy opensource solutions.
2. Actively promote opensource software in the public and private sectors.
3. Help grow confidence in opensource software, in the public and private sectors.
4. Provide knowledge of opensource alternatives to commercial software solutions, in order to help reduce costs within, companies, government departments, organisations and charities.
5. Provide information on how to support opensource solutions in business and HA environments.
6. Provide contacts and details of commercial companies who will support opensource solutions, thus satisfying the needs for support in critical environments.
7. Aid in the creation of deployment plans, for non profit organisations.
8. Promote the opensource philosophy of adding value to the community via code/patch creation or financial support, to anyone who seeks advise.
9. Provide free where possible hosting or hosting advice for charities opensource products.
10. Provide free ticketing support and advise to anyone wishing to know more about opensource and what solutions would fit their needs.
